OMEN originated in the minds and hearts of several local Portland GNI members. The desire was to establish a group where gay male naturists could come together for a social time of fun and relaxation.
The first meeting included five men from a variety of professional backgrounds in September of 1998. The second meeting in November of the same year added two more to the group and official business was discussed with the acceptance of the name OMEN (Oregon Men Enjoying Naturism).
It was decided at that time to start a monthly gathering and invite men that were known to the group to expand the membership. |
